We’ve really been lucking out in the weather department the last few weeks and this week is no different. The days ahead are full of sunshine and temps are warming up a bit. We’ll be looking at almost 80 degrees for the end of the week! Enjoy the long weekend and to those observing Yom Kippur my team and I wish you an easy fast. Yom Tov.

Wednesday, September 23rd

  • Wednesday night is all about Trivia Night at Moxie in Madison! Happening under the big tent at 7:30pm with registration beginning at 7:00pm. First come, first seated at this touchless event. Come on out for food & drink specials, prizes, and fun!
  • Celebrate National Yoga Month with a complimentary 45 minute class hosted by Prive Swiss Fitness beginning at 5:30pm. Join online through Facebook LIVE.

Thursday, September 24th

  • Durham Farmer’s Market takes place on the Town Green from 3:00-6:30pm. Check out their Facebook page for an up-to-date listing of vendors.
  • Fall Fest is happening at Shanks in Clinton from 3-8pm. Mini pumpkin painting, apple cider & hot chocolate, mini dessert pies, & MORE fall fun! It might be chilly on the water, so be sure to dress warmly and BYOB (bring your own blanket).
  • Join Gather Intentional Living & Everyday Hospitality for a virtual Apple Pie Sweet and Savory Board class. From 7:30 – 9:30pm you’ll learn to create a sweet and savory seasonal board that is sure to impress guests at your next gathering. Kayty hosts these wonderful classes out of her Madison based kitchen!
  • Head over to the Madison Beach Hotel for Tacos & Tequila from 4:30 – 7:30pm under the tent.

Friday, September 25th

  • The Madison Farmer’s Market is taking place on the Town Green from 3-6pm. Traditional retail is now allowed and select vendors continue to offer pre-order. Head to the market webpage to see this week’s list of vendors.
  • Thimble Island Brewing Company is hosting Live Music Fridays in Branford from 6-9pm. Head over to hear Eric Nass perform this week!

Saturday, September 26th

  • The Dudley Farm Market in Guilford is open every Saturday from 9am-12:30pm. Follow along on Facebook for update on vendors.
  • The Audubon Shop in Madison is hosting a Fall Bird Walk at Hammonasset Beach State Park from 8-10:30am. Pre-registration is required and a fee of $6 payable in advance. Call 203-245-9056 to reserve your spot and be sure to visit the event page for more details on arrival procedures.
  • Fall Fest is happening at Shanks in Clinton from 11am-8pm. Mini pumpkin painting, apple cider & hot chocolate, mini dessert pies, & MORE fall fun! It might be chilly on the water, so be sure to dress warmly and BYOB (bring your own blanket).
  • A new boutique, Tea & Tarot, is open in Madison. Join their Open House from 9am – 5pm and try the delicious fall teas, get a tarot or astrology reading and explore their new shop.
  • CPR Certifciation class hosted by Body Karma Studio in Clinton from 12:30-3:30pm. Course includes CPR care for adults, children and infants, relief of choking and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The course fee is $55.00 and includes certification card. For community members who need a CPR credential for work. Not for healthcare professionals such as nurses, paramedics or physicians.
  • Land & Sea End of Summer Pig Roast & Lobster Fest hosted by Hog Wild Smoking’ Cue at Westbrook Town Beach from 1-5pm. Tickets are $49 and can be purchased at their Westbrook location!
  • Seth Adams is playing live at Penny Lane Pub in Old Saybrook from 5:30-9:00pm.
  • Green Hill is playing at Little Pub in Old Saybrook from 6-9pm.

Sunday, September 27th

  • The Chester Sunday Market is running from 10am-1pm and they’ve officially made the return to Main St.!
  • Enjoy Brunch By the Beach hosted by the Madison Beach Hotel from 10am-2pm. Check out the new plated menu here!
  • Fall Fest is happening at Shanks in Clinton from 11am-8pm. Mini pumpkin painting, apple cider & hot chocolate, mini dessert pies, & MORE fall fun! It might be chilly on the water, so be sure to dress warmly and BYOB (bring your own blanket).
  • Powder Ridge Mountainside Market in Middlefield from 11am – 3pm. Visit a wide variety of vendors including farmers, artisan, craftsmen, flea market and antique dealers.
  • Sunday under the Tent at Madison Beach Hotel from 12-4pm. LIVE MUSIC 1 – 3 p.m. Annalyse & Ryan.
  • Annual Fall Harvest Festival Marketplace hosted by the Madison Beach Hotel from 12-4pm. This is free event, open to the public. Pre-registration is recommended to help maintain proper capacity.
  • Dave Lefkin is playing live at James Madison House in North Madison from 4-7pm.
