Another weekend of sunshine and mild temps is in-store for our Shoreline! Oktoberfest and Halloween inspired events dominate this weekend, so get out and enjoy the festivities after you’ve checked a thing or two off you monthly home maintenance chores list.
Wednesday, September 14th
- Wednesday night is all about Trivia Night at Moxie in Madison! Happening under the big tent at 7:30pm with registration beginning at 7:00pm. First come, first seated at this touchless event. Come on out for food & drink specials, prizes, and fun!
Thursday, October 15th
- Durham Farmer’s Market takes place on the Town Green from 3:00-6:30pm. Check out their Facebook page for an up-to-date listing of vendors.
- Ladies Night Out on the Guilford Green! From 12-8pm you can stroll the Green for an evening of shopping with deals and specials at shops & restaurants. Grab a friend and see all that downtown Guilford has to offer!
Friday, October 16th
- The Madison Farmer’s Market is taking place on the Town Green from 3-6pm. Traditional retail is now allowed and select vendors continue to offer pre-order. Head to the market webpage to see this week’s list of vendors.
- Thimble Island Brewing Company is hosting Live Music Fridays in Branford from 6-9pm. Head over to hear John Merola perform this week!
- Not-So-Scary Halloween Drive Through at Ray of Light Farm in East Haddam. An experience designed for young children, but fun for all ages! Their magical Pony Trail is decorated and lit up for Halloween! You will find all sorts of exciting sights on the way, as well as human characters dressed to the occasion! Candy will be passed out to the little visiting goblins. 5:45pm – 8:00pm
- The Haunted Isle 2020 hosted by the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven. Legend has it that somewhere in the woods at the end of the trolley tracks lurk the things that nightmares are made of. This fall a lonely trolley will carry passengers down the tracks to the gate from 6:30 – 10:00pm. The choice is yours… enter if you dare!Do you have what it takes to face your fears? The Haunted Isle is rated S “spooky”. Not recommend for any children under 10 years of age. Tickets can be purchased here.
- Oktoberfest IV hosted by Little Pub in Old Saybrook from 5-9pm. Big mugs of beer, huge pretzels, sausages, and music from Izzy Malek!
Saturday, October 17th
- The Dudley Farm Market in Guilford is open every Saturday from 9am-12:30pm. Follow along on Facebook for update on vendors.
- The Audubon Shop in Madison is hosting a Fall Bird Walk at Hammonasset Beach State Park from 8-10:30am. Pre-registration is required and a fee of $6 payable in advance. Call 203-245-9056 to reserve your spot and be sure to visit the event page for more details on arrival procedures.
- Paint the Pumpkin Pink at Lyman Orchards. From 10am – 4pm you can paint and decorate pumpkins to support Breast Cancer Awareness month. 50% of proceeds go to the Comprehensive Breast Center@ Middlesex Health.
- Madison PrideFest hosted by the Madison Diversity & Inclusion Committee is holding the town first ever PrideFest on the Town Green from 1-5pm. Live music and speeches on the First Congregational Church lawn! Family-friendly activities, booths from LGBTQIA+ organizations and businesses. After party at Moxie in Madison! Register in advance to attend.
- Fall Fest at Stubborn Beauty Brewing in Middletown from 1-5pm. Spread Cheese Co.and Spoke & Spy Ciderworks are joining forces with Stubborn Beauty Brewing to celebrate New England’s favorite time of year. The Spread Pop-up Shop will offer autumn-inspired cheeses and treats to pair with the seasonal craft beers from Stubborn Beauty and the unique lineup of fall hard cider flavors from Spoke & Spy!
- Oktoberfest at Lyman Orchards 1741 Pub & Grill from 2-5pm. Irish singer, Mike O’Mara, will offer up some classic Irish tunes that will pair perfectly with the classic Irish and German fare.
