Shoreline Social Report: 3/9 – 3/15

local events

I can’t seem to figure out who Adrienne Cook is, but her words definitely sum up the way many of us along the Shoreline feel this time of year.

“St. Patrick’s Day is an enchanted time – a day to begin transforming winter’s dreams into summer’s magic.”
~Adrienne Cook

Summer truly is a magical time in our coastal towns, but I wouldn’t want you to rush ahead too quickly and miss out on the fun that Spring brings along with it! You’ve probably noticed while driving around town that the daffodils are beginning to awaken and so are many of our favorite outdoor family destinations. Take advantage of this weekend’s mild temperatures with a trip to Lyman Orchards to celebrate the Apple Barrel’s opening day or head over to Higganum to experience the new Dancing Daffodils farm. It’s the first PYO daffodil farm in Connecticut! Of course, in the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day you’ll find many festive dining options and there’s quite a bit of live music to look forward to as well. Get out there and enjoy (but don’t forget to wash your hands)!
